Installation of the mobile application Black & White Guard

Requirements: Active GPRS / WAP / Internet connection.

Install by using Nokia PC Suite via Bluetooth or USB Cable

1. Download SIS file to your computer.
2. Connect the phone to the computer, either by Bluetooth or USB Cable.
3. On the computer, browse to and double click the saved SIS file. When prompted to confirm the application install, click Yes.
4. On the phone, press Yes to confirm the installation and follow the instructions that appear on the phone screen.
   
5. Wait for the installation process to finish.

Install by sending as file via Bluetooth or IrDa

1. Download SIS file to your computer.
2. On the computer, send the SIS file to the phone using Bluetooth or infrared.
   Right click on the SIS file select Send to, then select Bluetooth or Infrared device.
   Find your phone in the list and press Send.
3. On the phone, open received message from Message Inbox and select Install.
4. Press Yes to confirm the installation and follow the instructions that appear on the phone screen.
5. Wait for the installation process to finish.

Install by direct download to your phone

1. Download SIS file from http://www.cmit.cz/symbian/bw.asp address using your mobile Internet / WAP browser.
2. Open downloaded SIS file.
3. Press Yes to confirm the installation and follow the instructions that appear on the phone screen.
4. Wait for the installation process to finish.

How do I enter the activation key ?

Launch Black & White Guard (through Menu  > Installat.  > B&W), enter password (if you did not change the password yet, enter 123), in the Application menu choose Options  > Activation key and enter the activation key you received. Do not enter the activation key as your password.

Which devices are supported ?

The existing version 1.07 is designed for Nokia and Samsung phones with the Symbian operating system, S60 3rd Edition and 5th Edition.

In what languages is the application available ?

The existing 1.07 version has been localized in Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Portugese, Russian and Spanish.

What will the refusal of a call from a number listed in the Black List look like for the person who is calling me ?

If somebody is calling you from a phone number listed on the Black List, the call is refused in the same way as if you refuse the incoming call by pressing the red button - the caller will hear the “occupied” signal.

How can I get to the Safe faster than by calling Black & White Guard via the installed applications (Menu  > Installat.  > B&W) ?

On phones with a physical keyboard (S60 3rd Edition) you can preset a hotkey for quickly opening a running application. Pressing and holding * is preset after the first installation. For QWERTY keyboards you can press and hold the space key. The Black & White Guard application will ask you to enter the password. Entering the password will take you to the main application window. Press the Joystick, and the information stored in Safe displays immediately.

Is Black & White Guard on the list of running applications ? Will it be displayed by a task manager, such as Handy Taskman ?

The running Black & White Guard is not displayed in the commonly accessible list of applications. Specialized applications, such as Handy Taskman, will of course discover the Black & White Guard running.

How do I close Black & White Guard when I do not want it to be on ?

You can terminate the activity of Black & White Guard by launching it and choosing Exit in the main menu. The application will stop working. Black & White Guard will launch itself again after turning your phone off and on, provided you have enabled Autostart. Otherwise, you can re-launch Black & White Guard by the usual procedure from the installed applications (Menu  > Installat.  > B&W).
